  • B2B clients of Upvest get access to banking and European payment rails of ABN AMRO
  • ABN AMRO expands its activities in innovative services

Berlin, May 20, 2022. Berlin infrastructure Fintech Upvest and one of the leading European banking groups ABN AMRO are expanding their partnership and will cooperate in the area of transaction banking. The cooperation enables Upvest’s B2B clients to provide their end-customers pan-European banking rails and payment solutions through one of the most renowned Banks in Europe.

ABN AMRO has already been accompanying Upvest’s entrepreneurial journey since 2021, through ABN AMRO Ventures. With their technology partnership, both partners mutually benefit from their expertise in the area of capital markets and information technology. Upvest's investment API and core banking system enable B2B clients, including those without their own banking license, to benefit from the full range of investment services, from ETFs and stocks to crypto assets. The corporation's long-term goal is to strengthen the intersection of banking and tech expertise and accelerate the development of innovative fintech solutions in Europe.

"We believe that for existing banks such as ABN AMRO, as well as new and upcoming financial service providers, brokerage will establish itself as an integrated financial offering. Upvest is well positioned with its platform to enable this across borders, markets and products. This is just the beginning of an exciting journey ahead," says Tim Wanders, Director at ABN AMRO Ventures. “Upvest is one of the few European startups that combines a deep understanding of the capital markets with an outstanding tech DNA. That is why we are very pleased to expand our partnership and to work even closer together on the operational side.”

Martin Kassing, CEO of Upvest: “We are very pleased to further expand our trusted partnership with ABN AMRO, one of the most renowned European banks. Choosing the right partners and creating win-win situations is key to our ambitious growth plans, making our technology solution available to as many people as possible. Our long-term goal is clear: We want to become the technological backbone for all B2B companies seeking to provide their end-customers with reliable and secure access to the capital markets and crypto assets.”
