Berlin, 22. October 2026 – Upvest, Europe’s leading investment infrastructure provider, has appointed Quiron Cunha as Chief Financial Officer. Quiron joins from B2B payments company Mondu and brings more than 15 years of experience across consulting, corporate strategy, and finance leadership in high-growth, regulated businesses.

He joins at a pivotal moment. Upvest raised $125 million earlier this year and is preparing to power more than 20 launches of Germany’s new Altersvorsorgedepot in 2027 with new and existing clients. As CFO, Quiron will steer the company’s next stage: scaling across Europe and the UK while further building a profitable, resilient business.

AI will be central to how he leads. Quiron plans to further embed AI and automation across the finance function, enabling the team to keep pace with Upvest’s strong growth and focus on high-impact strategic work. This reflects Upvest’s wider focus on AI, both in how it runs its own operations and in the AI-enabled tools it provides to its clients.

His career began as a consultant at Brazilian management consultancy Falconi, before he moved into corporate finance and strategy roles at leading brazilian electronic and retail players. He then led strategy for Zalora in Southeast Asia, before joining Mondu as CFO in 2022. There, he built the finance function from scratch, raised more than €150 million, and oversaw profitability, automation, and international expansion.

“We're continuing our high growth and winning the investment category, now accelerated, with large migrations, Europe-wide pension wrappers such as the Altersvorsorgedepot and continued international expansion across Europe and the UK. Quiron has demonstrated to be a growth CFO to shape the equity story, raise significant capital, and scale a regulated business across markets. He further has an AI- and data-first mindset, which is key to leveraging technology to govern and grow our business efficiently.”
Martin Kassing
CEO and Founder of Upvest
“Fintech is a crowded space, and it’s rare to find a company that has built a category of its own. Upvest has done exactly that. The pace of innovation here is remarkable, the growth potential is huge, and the impact is real: millions of people across Europe and the UK are investing through platforms built on Upvest. I’m excited to get started and help shape the next chapter.”
Quiron Cunha
Chief Financial Officer of Upvest

Quiron joins Upvest during a period of strong momentum. In recent weeks, Quirin Privatbank and its digital platform quirion announced they will migrate more than €11 billion in assets to Upvest. This follows news from March, when DKB shared its plans to more than double its number of securities accounts to 2 million by 2030, powered by Upvest. In the UK, Plum has chosen Upvest to consolidate its investment business and extend its European partnership. In 2025 alone, Upvest processed more than 100 million orders, five times the previous year. Its mission remains the same: to make investing as easy as spending money, giving banks, fintechs, brokers, and wealth managers the infrastructure to bring modern investment products to millions of people across Europe and the UK.
